Prometheus full theatrical trailer + UK trailer + viral ads

WonderCon is happening right now; Ridley Scott and the casting of his new upcoming semi-prequel ‘Alien’ movie is being promoted like there’s no tomorrow.
If you want more, here’s the UK trailer, with more details about the story
Here are some of the viral ads from the movie.
The first one shows Michael Fassbender as the android named David.
This one is a parody of the famous inspiring TED talks. It shows Guy Pearce as Peter Weyland giving a speech about his infamous company (the infamous part is because of its legacy in the Alien universe). Very well done:
Now, for details about the movie:
Ridley Scott was in Wondercon with co-writer Damon Lindelof, Charlize Theron and Michael Fassbender. He talked about making a sci-fi movie that is simple (as a counter of the epic sci-fi movies that are flooding the screens), doing as much practical effects as possible over CGI and also talking about a possible sequel, ‘if they are lucky‘ or so he said.
You can also watch a Q&A with Michael Fassbender and Charlize Theron here, courtesy of Yahoo UK.
Prometheus is set for release this June 8, 2012 on IMAX 3D and RealD 3D theaters.

Cirque du Soleil: Worlds away trailer

The Cirque du Soleil is a fantastic spectacle; it’s the circus the way it should be, with acrobats applying themselves to the max to deliver one of the most wonderful shows on earth.
That’s why James Cameron stepped in and decided to produce a 3D movie with a Cirque du Soleil thematic, the results seems fascinating:

The film is directed by Andrew Adamson and is set for release this December 21st (doesn’t ring an Avatar bell?).
Can’t wait to see it.

Piranha 3DD trailer red-band

The sequel to Alexandre Aja’s 2010 ‘Piranha 3D‘, which was a remake of Joe Dante’s 1978 ‘Piranha‘ that also was itself a rip-off to Steven Spielberg’s ‘Jaws‘ (still following me? Good) just got a new NSFW trailer, and I love it.
I mean, it looks much more absurd and even crazier than Alexandre Aja’s take. David Hasselhoff? Gary Busey? Sign me in.
There are also some recurring characters re-appearing from the first one: Christopher Lloyd (AKA Doctor Brown) and Ving Rhames  (AKA Marcellus Wallace).
NSFW Trailer after the jump…
It looks like it’s even more absurd than the first one (which was also pretty absurd, but this new entry looks like it’s auto parodying itself).
Piranha 3DD was filmed natively in 3D, as opposed to the first one which was post-converted, so this mean that the movie will look even better.
Here’s the casting for the movie:
Danielle Panabaker, Matt Bush, Meagan Tandy, Chris Zylka, David Koechner, Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Paul James Jordan , Hector Jimenez, Adrian Martinez, Clu GulagerKatrina Bowden, Gary Busey, Christopher Lloyd, Ving Rhames, Paul Scheer and David Hasselhoff
And the plot, for those wondering what it is about:
Having awoken from their spring break extravaganza at Lake Victoria, the swarm heads upstream where they look to make a meal out of Big Wet, a local water park where when it comes to fun, nobody does it wetter! Thought they came to get wet, get loaded and get some, the staff and patrons get more than they bargained for when they must face the fiercest, most bloodthirsty piranhas yet. Lead by the strong-willed, studious Maddy and her friends, Barry and Kyle, the trio must dive in and take on these man-eating creatures using every ounce of their being…but can they be stopped?
Piranha 3DD is set for release this June 1, 2012

Prometheus international trailer

Ridley Scott‘s epic upcoming sci-fi return ‘Prometheus’ has a new international trailer. However, it looks pretty much like the original trailer, not new footage, but still cool editing and some minor changes to the pacing.
Here is the trailer embedded below:
The movie is one of my most anticipated movies of the year, it looks great and we will finally see what Ridley Scott is capable of in a new format (just like Martin Scorsese with ‘Hugo’).
Prometheus stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Sean Harris, Idris Elba, Kate DickieLogan Marshall-Gree, Rafe Spall, Patrick Wilson and Guy Pearce.
It is set for release this June 8th, 2012.
